I am trying to use the Office365 outlook send approval mail for the purpose of sending a mail which has approval, just like the transport mail rule of MS exchange.
The idea is to have an email which contains approval, and the receiver of the email can respond on it accordingly.
I have found some documentation on it but not sure how does it work. Here's the link :
What parameters it expects ?
Or does it even serve the purpose of my requirement ?
Looking forward to helpful response or any other workaround which serves the purpose of approval other than MS Flows approval.
I'm not super familiar with that function, but the parameters it's asking for are NotificationUrl and Message (not sure if that helps). I can not find much documentation on it either. I recommend checking out the approvals in Power Automate. There are many ready-to-go approval flows under the "Approval" section of the templates. Here is one for Outlook from PowerApps.
If this answered your question, please click "Accept Solution". If this helped, please Thumbs Up.
Hi @EricLott thanks for your response but Power Automate approvals are out of question, I can not use them.
The parameters of this function are very ambiguous.
I have also seen 'NotificationUrl and Message" as its 2 parameters but what to put in them is the burning question.
Looking forward to helpful responses.
I've found a little documentation on NotificationUrls here
It looks to me like the SendApprovalMail function may not be built out completely. Does this help at all? I'll keep digging.
Some more info here as well - I've been searching too:
Looks like you can use it but from what I'm finding it's no different (options-wise) than the Flow approval.
