Hello,
I love the idea of this article but I do not believe it to be true or accurate. I am fully capable of the code it would take to do an offline app but what good would that be if you cannot launch the phone or windows without authentication to Azure AD? Is this complete fabrication or am I missing something?
Per the article the first step is to:
https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/build-offline-apps-with-new-powerapps-capabilities/
I have not been able to open when in airplane mode. Any suggestions?
Chris

Hi,
No you should only need to log in once and open the app once in order to use it offline later.
For example, if you log into power apps, install the app you would like to use. Tomorrow, you can board a plane and still use the app that you previously installed as long as you have not logged out of PowerApps between then. (You close PowerApps completely, just don't click sign out)
Thanks
Cherie
Seems like a bit of confusion in our blog post, but once you have opened your app once, you can turn on airplane mode and use your app while offline. You have to be already logged in.
Thank you for the reply. Even the answer is not fully clear so I will attempt to describe:
If I am reading your reply correctly you must open the application and log in EACH time you want to use it offline. Not just the first time to initialize the tables, etc. Each and every time your users want to use the offline application they must first log in to Azure active directory which requires you to be online.
The only way PowerApps may go offline is if each session is first online.

Thank you for clearing this up! I tested this and you are correct. --Chris
