OnVisible Powerapps

Please can you help me?
I added a screen to my app where I want users to rate it, but I don't want the screen to appear again for users who have already rated it. Could you help me please?

you would need to connect the app to a datasource (ie sp list) that onvisible pulls username, checks it against your splist, if the name is there then do nothing. If it is not present add userid to the list, then change a variable to true that is also the variable in your screens visible.

I have a list on sharepoint, however, I don't know how to put it on OnVisible so that when the user's email is there it is hidden, and when it's not, it's visible. Would you help me?

Hi @Anonymous

Either you can write the code on the screen where you are navigating to Rating Screen and advise user you have already Rated the App or you can let them go to Rate Screen and redirect them back to main screen, in this case you have to write the code on "OnVisible" of your rate screen

If(!IsBlank(LookUp(SharepointList, <FieldName> = "<comparing value>", SharepointColumn)), Notify("You have already rated the App");Navigate(HomeScreen))

Please Thumbs up and accept as solution if my post helped you solve your issue.

So, assuming your column is set to Person Type the following will determine if the employee is already in your sp list. (Change your list and column name obviously mine are just test names of my own list)

Refresh(TESTPOWERAPPS);
If(IsEmpty(Filter(TESTPOWERAPPS,EMPLOYEE.Email=Office365Users.MyProfile().Mail)),Set(TestBoolean,false),Set(TestBoolean,true))

After that just change the true false actions to either set your variable for the pop ups visibility to true & add their user info to the list if email is not one on your list, and if it IS on your list do nothing.

Formula would be slightly diffeent if you have just stored their user email as a text column, but same basic idea.

I tried to put it on my onvisible, but it gives an error saying that the condition cannot be accepted there.

I would usually put it in the onvisible of the first /SCREEN/ not a control. Can't really tell you what went wrong on your end without seeing it, so you should share with us the exact way you rewrote my recommended code to fit your data, as well as where it was placed, screen onvisible or a control and maybe a screenshot of your error message as well.

My screen is not my App's home screen, I wanted it to appear when the user opened the app after about 2 seconds, then it rates and then the rating screen directs it to the home screen, but I don't want it to have to see this screen every time you enter the app

I think you are mistaking my terminology.

Your popup will just be a shape/control etc WITHIN your screen. We need to see what code you have placed in the onvisible of your screen which is the container everything is in, if the check actually sends them to an new screen entirely, thats ok. But we still need to see the onvisible of the very first screen that appears in your app.
