So I have an app built that 5 users currently use. This past year, we had to add a new user, and for the most part, everything went pretty smooth. However, I am now running into an issue that I cannot get to the bottom of.
So the app is basically a school app, that inputs discipline issues into Google Spreadsheet. When the user is finished entering in the data, they press a button, and the data is collected into the Spreadsheet. At that time, I have code that is supposed to disable the button, and send a popup, saying "You already entered this student". This prevents users from duplicating the same incident over and over.
We have used this same code, for the past 2 years with no issue. All other users it works just as it is supposed to. But when this one user is logged in, the button does not gray out; and allows for duplicates.
How can it be that the app is acting differently amongst users?
Can you share the code that disables the button and shows the pop-up saying "You already entered this student" ?
Sure thing...however, I would like to say that everything is working just fine for every other user, and has been for 2 years. This is the code I have on DisplayMode. It is stopping duplicates. This isnt showing the popups, as they are tied to something else and not really as important. Duplicates need to be prevented, so the button needs to be disabled
Last_Name = NameInput.Text,
First_Name = FirstNameMain.Text, Student_Offense = StudentOffDrop.SelectedText.Value,
Date_Of_Offense = (Text(DateOffensePicker.SelectedDate))))),
The new user has also been given access to the Google Spreadsheet and the new user isn't having any issues creating a new row in the spreadsheet?
