Hi @Flashback ,

So there would be 3 parts of functions.

1\ You could set a variable with scanned text, set OnTimeEnd to:

Set(varScanned, TextInput.Text)

2\ Use an Edit form to display the record, set DataSource of the Form to SQL database, and set Item property of the Form to:

LookUp(SQLtable, ColumnName = varScanned)

3\ Add a button to submit, set OnSelect of the Button to:

SubmitForm(EditForm1)

Hope this helps.

Hi @Flashback ,

Could you please share more details about your scenario? Would you like to edit a specific record from SQL database in Power Apps?

If so, you could learn this from creating an App from data source -> SQL Server. With this App, you will be able to search the record in a Gallery and navigate to an Edit screen to edit the selected record.

If you would like to modify the layouts of the App, please refer to the official doc below, basically the same method although with different data source:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/customize-layout-sharepoint

Hope this helps.

But i want open record by button based on value in TextInput. Is it possible?

I have in SQL table record "PR2102546001" and i want write this to TextInput and open for editing.

Hi @Flashback ,

Could you please explain more of your scenario? I'm not pretty sure what need you would like to achieve.

In my post, you could see a search box, if you already have records in SQL database, when you typing in text the respective result would show up in the Gallery. Then you could click the ">" button to navigate to the edit screen you will see in which an Edit Form with details of the selected record, a TextInput box would display the value "PR2102546001" for you to edit. After editing, clicking the save button would save changes to your SQL database.
