Ordered fractions in entity view

Hey,

I'm using Canvas app.

I made a dropdown that holds inch fractions:

["0","1/16","1/8","3/16","1/4","5/16","3/8","7/16","1/2","9/16","5/8","11/16","3/4","13/16","7/8","15/16"]

But, in the second thought, maybe shall I make an entity with those fractions.

But, after I made the entity I tried to make a view with ordered fractions.

I did sorting & filtering but still, they are not in order.

I saw that there default views, I would like to know what they are for?

Thanks 🙂

Re: Ordered fractions in entity view

Yes you can add to the Table. Or better still create a collection Onvisible of the screen or OnStart of the App example;

ClearCollect (MyFractionsTb, { Fraction: "0", ID: 1}, { Fraction: "1/16", ID: 2 },
{ Fraction: "1/8", ID: 3}, { Fraction: "3/16", ID: 4 } )

Then on the dropdown items;

Sort(MyFractionsTb,ID, Ascending)

Re: Ordered fractions in entity view

I suggest you a corresponding colum to sort for instance an ID column.

If you don't have an ID Column create one 1,2,3,4.....

Then use the ID to sort.
