Outlook Distribution List not showing up

Several Outlook distribution list available in my company in Outlook do not show up in the list for sharing within PowerApps. How do I get them to show up? Does this have anything to do with the size of the distrbution list itself?

That would definately be an adminsitrator request.  It should be relatively easy to do with PowerShell, but I don't think its built into the UI anywhere.

Hi @aaronbedenbaugh

You can't share an app with a distribution group in your organization or with a user or group outside your organization.

They work with security groups

You can't share with a distribution list.  It has to be a security group of some kind with a SID.  DLs don't have SIDs unless they are an email enabled security group.  That's why you aren't seeing them.

So why would I see some DLs and not others? There are many that I can and have shared with. Does that mean those that I can share with have an SID? What is an SID? How can I get that added to the lists that I need?

Thank you.

There are Distribution lists and email enabled security groups.  They both show up as DLs, but the later can also be used for security since they have a security Identifier, which DLs don't have.

OK. Is that an admistrator request on my companys end? Can a DL be easliy swtiched to a SID?

Thank you so much for the info. I was just speaking to one of our IT specialists and he informed me that our company is currently in the process of migrating all of the DLs over to the SID protocol and they proably haven't gotten to the particular ones I need. He is providing me with contact information so I can request that those DLs are fast-tracked.
