PDF viewer not working in latest update

Hi!

We are currently using PowerApps version 3.19081.20 for an app that displays PDF:s stored on Sharepoint using a flow. Whenever we try to re-publish the app which makes it update(currently to 3.19084.12) the PDFViewer stops working and just says that the PDF can't be showed. Clicking the link that shows the PDF in browser works and shows the correct PDF. The PDFViewer doesn't work for version 3.19082.20 or 3.19083.21 neither. My question is what is causing this? And is there a way to force PowerApps to not update while saving changes and re-publishing?

Thank you for time!
Adam

Hi @Anonymous ,

I've made a similar test and found that PDF viewer works good in my powerapps. My powerapps version is 3.19084.12.

The problem that you have I think is about the PowerApps version is a little stale.

For now, unless you find PowerApps version 3.19081.20's website and edit your app in this version.

There's no way to republish app in previous version of PowerApps.

It will automatically saved in the latest version of PowerApps.

I suggest  you recreate your app in the latest version of PowerApps.

Or you could also ask for help here:

Hi!

I've tried creating a new app but it is still not working. I am using the exaxt same PDF which previously worked but it is not showing in the new version. Is there anything other i can try?

Regards Adam

This following one statement in the Document property on a PDF Viewer control will dynamically convert many document types to PDF you can display in your apps such as Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, HTML files. Loads more.

Substitute( Gallery1.Selected.Thumbnail, "transform/thumbnail", "transform/pdf" )

There is a more consistent way of doing it with PDF documents using the Graph APIs which surface a "@content.downloadUrlproperty for any file, but this property in particular works 100% of the time, and once again you only need to set the Document property on the PDF Viewer to this field using the PA_Graph_DriveItems Flow I've shared on a really long blogs that speaks to loads more things you equally do using those APIs.

Rather download the simplified version of demo app I've shared on that blog, and all the other Flows if you want to:
