Passing choice column with multi-select enabled with "respond to a PowerApp or flow"

Hello,

I'm struggling with passing a choice column with multi-select enabled together with the rest of my SharePoint list to my PowerApp.

I'm able to pass the rest of the SharePoint list to my PowerApp (without the choice column with multi-select).

Here is how I've done that:
Power Automate (with Get Items before this)

In PowerApps

Now to the problem, passing the multi-select choice column together with this. I assume I must extract the values from the choice column something like this.

I've tried a few different things, but the closest I've come so far is this.

Result inside the choice column. The main table looks fine.

I can't use "Templates: Table(ParseJSON(Value.Templates)) as the Value.Templates are already an object and not a string.

The other problem, which I'm more concerned about is that the choice column contains the data for all items for each item, so the choice column is just a duplicate for each item in the main column. I'm unsure how to split this up in the correct way in power automate.

All help is greatly appreciated.

Hi @RobinHenriksen ,

According to your description, you want to Passing choice column with multi-select enabled with "respond to a PowerApp or flow" instead of an object , and i test it in my side , we can pass the  multi-select  as the Text String with "," to Power Apps.

Here are the steps you can refer to :
This  is my test data in SharePoint list:

vxiaochenmsft_0-1697706490484.png

This is my flow:

vxiaochenmsft_1-1697706490485.png

(1)The "Get items" , "Initial variable" steps :

vxiaochenmsft_2-1697706490488.png

(2)The "Apply to each2" step:

vxiaochenmsft_3-1697706490493.png

(3)The last step is to pass the data we need to Power Apps:

vxiaochenmsft_4-1697706490494.png

(4) In Power Apps we can use the code like yours to get the table:
Button-OnSelect:
Set(MyData, ForAll( Table(ParseJSON( PassingchoiceMytestflow.Run().response )) ,{Title:Text(Value.Title) , ChoicesTest:Text(Value.ChoicesTest) })     )

The result is like this:

If I don't understand your needs correctly, you can describe your needs in detail, which can better help you!

Hi @RobinHenriksen ,

Thanks for your quick response ! According to your description, you want to show the nested Table for your Choices Column .

If this , you can just change the Append to variable like this:

vxiaochenmsft_0-1697769120974.png

And then we in Power Apps we can use this code :
Set(MyData, ForAll( Table(ParseJSON( PassingchoiceMytestflow.Run().response )) ,{Title:Text(Value.Title) , ChoicesTest:Table(Value.ChoicesTest) })     )

And then the result is as follows:

Thanks, this is very close to what I was looking for.

I'm trying to get the data in like this.

Main table with a nested table

RobinHenriksen_2-1697714858570.png

Nested table with an object/line for each value from the multiple choice

RobinHenriksen_0-1697714814101.png

At the moment I get it like this.

RobinHenriksen_3-1697714980736.png

By adding [ ] and using Templates:Table(Value.Templates) in powerapps
