Passing input from another gallery and using it filter

Hello All,

I currently have two galleries in two separate screens. The first gallery on the first screen contains a list of names from Source1. The second gallery on the second screen contains a list of systems that these names own, but this data is stored in Source2. How would I automatically filter the second gallery such that it will filter on the input on gallery 1.

Gallery/Page 1

Name1                                >
Name 2                               >
Name 3                               >

If I click Name 1, it will lead me to the next gallery with the systems that only Name1 owns.

Gallery2/Page2

System 1                  >

System 3                  >
System5                   >

Thank You in advance

I have achieved this in the past using two galleries on the same screen, on select of an item from gallery 1, set a variable to the record's id.

From here I then set the width of gallery 1 to 0, and the width of gallery 2 to take up the space that gallery 1 used to occupy.

I then used a filter on the gallery items of gallery 2 to only display items related to gallery 1

I can look out the app and drop you a copy in a solution if this sounds along the lines of what you need?

While that could work, these two galleries are on separate screens, so changing the width won't do much for me

You could take a similar approach by setting a global variable to the record id of gallery item 1, and use navigate () to get you to the other screen, then filter gallery 2 using the value from your global variable

I think I've tried something like that, although I'm not sure why it doesn't work

When the person click the arrow in gallery 1, this is the onselect code, where I try to store the name value

 >Navigate('Manager System Landing Page', ScreenTransition.None, {selectedSection: ThisItem.Title})

Here is the code where I try to filter based on this, although it does not work

> Filter('Test Data',"System Manager"=selectedSection)

Is there any sort of error message on either parts of the code, or just no data in the second gallery?

I'd like to try and replicate this issue, to help me work out a solution. What are you using as a data source?

I am using my company's data source, there is no data showing up on the second gallery when I put the filter on

At its simplest, the first data set is something like this

NameRole
Name1Role1

The second data source looks like this

NameCurriculum
Name1Curriculum1

As you can see, the second data source has the name in common with the first, and I therefore want to filter out the second data source such that only the curriculums where the names match are shown for that specific selection

Where are the tables stored? Dataverse? SharePoint?

I should be able to build this out in either and replicate what you doing. I'll take a look tomorrow and come back to you with a solution

Thank You. These data sources are from sharepoint

No problem, I'll set up a version of this tomorrow and be in touch within 24 hours
