Patch 365 user name to sharepoint list

Hello, What I am trying to do is send over patch an office 365 user to a sharepoint list.

I have a searchbox, then a gallery in wich the user is displayed. How can I acomplished into sending just the one that I need and not other user with similar names?

If I type the full name, it only displays one item. So How can I send that "Name". The column in the sharepoint list is a Person column.

Any help or suggestion would be great, thanks

Re: Patch 365 user name to sharepoint list

When patching a Perons column in sharePoint I've always gotten a schema error if I don't include all the fields, even if they are blank.  Here's what works for me on a person column called Employee

           Employee: {
                  Claims: Concatenate(
                    "i:0#.f|membership|",
                    User().Email
                ),
                Department: "",
                DisplayName: User().FullName,
                Email: User().Email,
                JobTitle: "",
                Picture: ""
            }

If you cut out any of the blank values you get a schema mismatch error.

Re: Patch 365 user name to sharepoint list

@Anonymous

PERSON typoe column needs to be patched as a record in following format

{
        DisplayName: user().FullName,
        Claims: "i:0#.f|membership|" & user().Email
    }

so all you need to do above is get the display name and the email from the control where your user is being selected

Re: Patch 365 user name to sharepoint list

Hi @Anonymous ,

Do you want to patch a office365 user selected from combo box to Person column of SP list?

In order to get that, you have to patch a record which contains "Claims","Department","DisplayName","Email","JobTitle","Picture" columns. Although not all values are required, you need to list them all.

you can refer to the following formuals:

Patch(SPlist, BaseRecord, {Claims:"i:0#.f|membership|" & ComboBox1.Selected.UserPrincipalName,Department:"",DisplayName:ComboBox1.Selected.DisplayName,Email:ComboBox1.Selected.UserPrincipalName,JobTitle:"",Picture:""})

Best regards,

Sik
