Patch Lat/Long coordinates to SharePoint location column

I would like to patch Lat/Long to a SharePoint location column.

When trying to patch in SharePoint I don't get an option to patch coordinates. I only get the following options:

I was hoping to be able to patch lat/long and then show additional columns for street, city etc.

It looks like your Sharepoint column does not have the Coordinates option enabled:

That said, Power Apps and connectors behave better when lat/long sit in their own single-line-of-text columns. Is there a reason you need to use this complex data type?

I tried enabling this but it didn't make a difference to the options available in Power Apps. I think those options are just for presenting additional columns linked to the location column.

I have never used this column type but thought I could patch a lat/long and then let SharePoint interpret the lat long to present the location data in those additional columns.

I will continue using a single line of text column type as it was a just a nice to have rather than something I need.
