Patch a datetime-column in a collection that is NULL

Powerapps forbids to patch a column in a collection that is NULL. So it´s necessary before patching to update a NULL-Value to -> "".

But what am I doing if I need to patch a NULL-Value of a column in a collection that is a datetime? I can´t use the workaround because an error message tells me, that it isn´t allowed to set a datetime-column to -> "". Really, I am tired of using one workaround after another, but I need now another one. Can you help? To patch a NULL-Value should be a 1 + 1 of a low-code programming language. This problem exists now since 2 years:

Re: Patch a datetime-column in a collection that is NULL

Hi @ChristophM ,

Do you want to patch a Non-Value of a column in a collection?

Actually, it is an known issue within PowerApps -- When using Patch function to patch data back to collection, it could not patch data to a Non-Value of a column.

As an fixed solution, please consider turn on the "Formula-level error management" option within Advanced settings of App settings of your app firstly. Then try your Patch formula again, check if the issue is solved.

Please also check and see if the following blog would help in your scenario:
