Patch a field to save a unique number or text behind the scenes

Hello,

hope everyone is doing well.

I have a patch functionality connected to a form.

The form can create a new form. On this form, you can edit 3 items. However for the form to work, there is an invisible required field. The required field must have a unique input.

Can I generate a number/letter count or unique ID to fill this out? I would ideally like this to work within my patch functionality!

Thank you!

If it is a number you can use First(Sort(yourdatasource, yourfieldname, Descending)).yourfieldname + 1 as the Update property of the card in the form. Otherwise you can put a Default value in the control inside the card, like "dummy". Make sure it works then set the Visible property of the card to false.
