Re: Patch

Just the spot in the patch statement where you are trying to lookup the value.

Patch(DemoFleet,First(Filter(DemoFleet,Title="hard code value here")),{CurrentHours=hard code number here})

Re: Patch

Ahh Okay right so I changed it to some values and it has modified the sharepoint like I would like it to do when using this code:

Patch(DemoFleet,First(Filter(DemoFleet,Title="41053178")),{CurrentHours:57})

What do I need to do to allow it to use the 8 digit number and the hours selected/input by the user?

Also I apologise for the code previously, for some reason it keeps changing it to smiley faces.

Re: Patch

So I would focus on changing just one of those hard coded values first to use a datacard value.  Once that is working then move on to the other one.   You can also add a label temporarily to expose the value from the datacard to make sure you are getting the value you expect.  If you aren't then you need to look at a different property of the data card.

Re: Patch

Okay, thank you,

I have changed the hours part to the data card and got that working, I am just not able to figure out what code to use for the 8 digit number part which is from the drop down box, this is the code that works for the hours:

Patch(DemoFleet,First(Filter(DemoFleet,Title="41053178")),{CurrentHours:Text(DataCardValue33.Text)})

Re: Patch

Can you provide a screen shot of the datacard that contains the 8 digit number with all the fields showing from the designer? Also a picture of the Advanced tab of the properties panel when the value field from the datacard is selected.  Here are two examples

Re: Patch

Yes, based on the screenshots above I think the text you are looking for will be in

DataCardValue20.Selected.Value
