Patching lookup column

I know that we had the same topics on this comunity, but in my case it looks a bit diffrent...

So, i have to create the app which helps end users collect data about trainings.

I created sharepoint list as a "database" which will collect basic data like name, surname, department etc.

In the second list I created list of available trainings with clasyfication.

And now on the first list i have lookup columns (SoftTraining, TechnicalTraining), in power apps I have to filter users as Junior,Mid,Senior and what kind of training it is soft skills or technical skills.

How I can send the response to sharepoint list from ComboBox ?

I try do it like that:

UpdateIf(<source>,Created By.Email=User().Email,{SoftTraining: ComboBox1.selected});

And I get error: "Invalid argument type. Expecting a Record value,but of a diffrent schema"

I guess I can use power apps forms, but then I can't filter records by Training type or assignment 😞

I see: Choices([@<source>].SoftTraining), how I can edit this formula to filter trainings ?

I hope it's clearly, thank you in advice !

@MaciejFr2000 ,

How I can send the response to sharepoint list from ComboBox ?

It depends on how is defined the Items property of the ComboBox. Let's take assigment for example:

1. ComboBox Items = Choices([@TrainingList].Assignment)

   You can use your formula:

    Created By.Email=User().Email,
    {Assignment: ComboBox1.Selected}

2. ComboBox Items = Local Collection of assignment type:

     Created By.Email=User().Email,
     {Assignment: LookUp(

Hope it helps !
