Patching to SharePoint list - Title required

Hi Community,

I am receiving an error saying Title is a required field. However, I am patching to Title. I've also tried to pass through "Test" but I get the same error returned.

Here is my formula

Any idea what might be going on here?

I would suggest removing the "Required" check on the Title column from the SharePoint List.

You can do this by:
Going to the SharePoint List > Return to classic SharePoint (Bottom left) > List > List Settings > Title > Set No to Require that this column contains information > OK > Refresh Data Source in PowerApps > Try again

Hi @CollabTechie ,

Firstly, please modify your formula.

The right syntax of Patch should be like:
Patch(listname,Defaults(listname),{....})    //create a new record

Patch(listname, the record that you want to edit, {...})   //edit an existing record

On your side, you should try the first one.

Secondly, please check your settings of Title field.

You could check this by choosing list settings->Title

I suggest you make the Title column not required to avoid this problem.

If the problem still exists, please tell me the fields' data type that you used in this formula and tell me what are these:

InputName,InputDepartment,InputHours and InputDescroption.

I notice that you seems to forget to add ".Text" behind InputDescroption.

Please try to use this:
