Hello there,
Long time ago I have developed my first app, in that app I users take a single picture per item added. The picture is saved in my share point list as base64 text, i.e data:image/jpeg;base64,/9j/4AAQ.......... Because back in those days, that was the only way to save pictures and retrieve the same pictures in any IOS device omitting the Share point picture authentication.
Now I have been disconneted form Powerapps becuase I got tired of waiting for two things to be implemented here:
1. A really easy way to upload pictures, save, and see on IOS devices.
2. A easy way to implement off line capability.
Anyway, could someone please point me in the right direction to try to implement "uploading pictures to my sharepoint list and retrieving those in my ipad or phone?
Thansk in advance for any help.
Regards,
Hi @sajarac ,
If your column type is Picture in SharePoint list, then by default, you could be able to add pictures through edit form control by adding this column data card.
But to save the image also in your mobile device, this is not avaiable so far. You could try to add an idea in below PowerApps idea forum:

Hello there,
Thank you very much for your prompt reply.
Is not to save the pictures on my phone, is the hability for the user to see the saved pictures in my sharepoint folder. If I remember before other users cannot see pictures on IOS devices because Share point doesn't support this functionality.
am I wrong? or the probelm persist ?
Regards.
Thank you, is there any simple way for a non technical guy who want to implement this but whitout use MS Flow?
I mean have the pictures working but really simple? as simple as adding an image control?
Thanks in advance.
Regards
It is as simple as adding an Image control.
All you need to do is append the .{Thumbnail}.Small / .{Thumbnail}.Medium or.{Thumbnail}.Large property to the list item record returned from SharePoint for any given image (or document for that matter).
I have documented this in more detail in a blog I posted in January!
SharePoint-Powered Thumbnails Have Arrived!
Thank you very much for this info.
Just quick question, and correct me if I am wrong.
This is just to display the pictures saved in my share point list list? I still need to create the way to save the pictures taken form my device i.e IOS device to my share point list? right?
Can this action be performed simple without any flow involved?
Thank you very much again for your response.
Regards
Subsequent to the blog I wrote, Microsoft add a Thumbail propery to all files when using the SharePoint connector to display the contents of a SharePoint Document Library. Using this technique there is absolute no need to call a Flow using the Graph API calls I utilized is said Flow.
Actually the new functionality to add the Thumbnail propery to all files in a Document Library partially obsolute. I say partially because using the Flow I demostrated will work using a web browser to run the app but not on mobile clients running on Apple or Android devices.
Thank you, basically we continue stuck. I can not find any sense response or tutorial to simple create an app upload pictures or documents, and have my users retrieve those files on mobile devices.
That is the reason why I stopped development powerapps.
Thanks again for all your help.
Regards,
