Populate dropdown list from gallery item

Hi Power Apps experts

I have a Gallery1 with a field "Docno"

In have another gallery Gallery2 where I have a dropdown that needs to be populated based on Gallery1.AllItems.Docno

I have tried defining Items of dropdown with Gallery1.AllItems.Docno but this doesn't work.
I am getting [object Object] [object Object] ?

How may I do this?

Note: I don't want to fetch from Gallery1's datasource.
I would love to fetch the dropdown list from Gallery1 allitems docno.text

Thanks. 🙂

Hi, I did a quick test here and your code should work well with Gallery1 then defining the dropdown Items with Gallery1.Allitems. yourfield since you're sending a text...

But the thing is, this field should not be a record type, if so, you'll need to do some workaround to fetch your dropdown which is expecting a text.

@vribeiro and @Jagadeeshk
Please see my note.
Yes it works when fetched from datasource.
But, my gallery1 contains inputtext field. User fills docno. in here. This is not patched yet - does not exist in the datasource.

At this point, I want my dropdown list to contain values from gallery1 inputtext fields - not gallery1 datasource field.

I hope this helps
TIA as always 🙂
