I have two tables in excel,
Employee Id and other columns
Employee Id and Employee Name.
The Data Source for drop down is ROTA table and I would want to display Employee Name from Employees table based on the Employee Id column in ROTA table.

Allow me to confirm what you're trying to accomplish. Do you want to populate the Dropdown with Employee Name based on the Employee Id in ROTA?
Please check the following formula for reference.
AddColumns( ROTA, "Name", LookUp(Employees, EmployeesId = ROTA[@EmployeeId], EmployeesName) ).Name
