aI found the Microsoft Teams connector for Power Apps: Microsoft Teams Connector
In there I found the function "MicrosoftTeams.PostUserNotification()" however little information about how to use the function. according to the editor in my canvas app it takes 0 arguments and returns a bool. Is this function just broken? Has anyone found a way to use it?
Solved! Go to Solution.
There are a number of functions (actions) in connectors that are only available when using them as actions in Power Automate. As far as I know this is one of those functions. You can use it by calling a Power automate flow that uses the 'Post a message as the flow bot to a user' action.

I can't find this function anymore, is it removed?
That action has been replaced by a consolidated action where you can pick whether to post as a user or a bot.
Thanks Pstork1. Slightly related question: how do I use the new "Post a message in a chat or channel" to send a message straight to the recipient (it was quite trivial with the previous "Post a message to a user"). Thanks!
You don't use that action to send a message to a user. There is a different one for starting a new chat with a user in Teams.
Thanks @Pstork1. I managed to send a message to specific reciepient using "Post a message in a chat or channel"
Produces this for the recipient
Thanks!
