Power App New User

I am new to this Power App, I have on premise SharePoint where I can add new user and see all the users that has been added.  Every time I add a user it has to be approved by the manager, and when the user gets approved. It will automatically added to Active Directory.  I want to make an app in  Power App where I can able to add a user and it will go directly to my on premise sharepoint list of new user so it will be waiting for approval of  manager. Any suggestion?

Hi @TebTim ,

Make a separate list of users in your SharePoint. We do that due to our (large) organisation size and simply keep the local team and everything needed to know about them in a list.

Hi @TebTim ,

Do you want to add new user by using powerapps and then update to sharepoint list?

You just need to connect your app with sharepoint list.

Then use patch or collect function to update your data source(sharepoint list).

You could create a approval flow to ask manager's approval. Trigger this flow when you update the sharepoint list.

The step is:

1)connect your app with sharepoint:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/connections/connection-sharepoint-onlin...

2)create an app to update records

the relation functions:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/functions/function-patch

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/functions/function-clear-collect-clearc...

3)create a approval flow

Trigger: powerapps   (trigger the flow when update data)

The related flow:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/modern-approvals

But the sharepoint is on premise.

@TebTim ,

Yes - which is why I suggested the second list.
