Power Apps Licensing

I want to create an app for our company users however some of our users only have Essentials. Will our Essentials users be able to access our Power Apps?

Re: Power Apps Licensing

Hi @OldITGuy

Yes, PowerApps is included in O365 Business Essentials.

There are some caveats you need to be aware of. If you use ANY of the following in a PowerApp, ALL users of said app will require a PowerApps Plan 1 license:

  • Custom Connector
  • Premium Connector
  • On-Prem Data Gateway (to access on-premise data sources)
  • Custom HTTP Request in Flow (because Flow is included in all PowerApps licenses)

I wrote up a little dissertation on PowerApps licensing here. Maybe it can help.

Good luck!

Re: Power Apps Licensing

Hi @OldITGuy ,

If your user want to access PowerApps, they should have the related  liscense, and then if you want to share Apps with them, you can add them to your Group.

More information:

signup-for-powerapps

Hope this could be helpful.

Best Regards.
