Hello,
I am trying to convince my organisation to extend our D365 functionality with Power Apps. We have an on-premise D365 CE installation and my initial research indicates there might be limitations with creating records via Power Apps to on-premise CRM. However, all the online blogs I have found on this subject are from about two years ago? I am hoping there has been a resolution.
Can anyone please answer and share any resource I can go to get further explanations.
Best Regards,
Simon
this is still mostly accurate:

there is no standard connector for d365 on premise. You can use on prem data gateway and read the data from your SQL data, but to write/edit data you would need to create a custom connector, which definitely can be done using the IFD web service.
Alternatively, create a data integration with a CDs environment in the cloud and bring the data for your app to that environment.
Thank you very much @jlindstrom
My current base case proposition aligns with your first recommendation. Was hoping something more native might exist. Thank you very much for the feedback.
Best Regards,
