The new Power Apps grid control in model-driven apps is officially in public preview! This control can be used for both read-only and editable scenarios, supports infinite scrolling for a modern browsing experience, and allows pro-dev makers to customize the appearance of cells. A new blog post and documentation for this should be available soon!
As you try out and use this new grid control, we'd love to hear your feedback! What went well and what didn't? What additional features do you want or need from the grid? This community post will be used to consolidate feedback on the Power Apps grid control. Thanks in advance for your comments!
Hello @jasongre ,
I see excel files in my browser every day, so I wonder if they cannot run inside an iframe of a power app instead of another browser tab. Just a component that could have a filename as a parameter.
Ideally, that excel file should be accessible by the rest of the power app.
I see lots of potential use cases, if data in an app, could be save to an excel file, or where a excel file could be selected, and a table inside, could be copied into a collection.
Right now, all of that is very static, with hardcoded filenames, etc.
Br,
Michel
Are there plans to add a nested subgrid feature that exists similar to what exists in the Editable Grid control?
@RSMITH_HSO yes, that feature is planned and will be available regardless of whether the control is in read-only mode or editable mode.
Same issue here
Thanks for the feedback! There is still some additional work for using the grid on dashboards.
Got it. Thank you!
@jasongre Any updates on the subgrid height issue? We love the grid and the possibilities it offers, but not really being able to see more than 3 lines (no matter what the amount of rows is set in the subgrid) is quite limiting. Thanks!
