Power BI Tile In PowerApps

Hello,

I build a report using power bi free trial version and I'm using this report in power apps by creating a power bi tile in canvas app. Everything was fine but suddenly the created canvas report using power bi tile is showing the following error:

"The report shown in this tile doesn't exist or you don't have permissions to view it"

I tried some solutions like recreating the report in dashboards and pinning the dashboard, refreshing the dataset then also facing same issue.

Can anyone help to resolve this issue..!

Hi @Anonymous :

Could you tell me:

Is this a common problem?

Have you tried creating a new dashboard and creating a new canvas app?

Please check if you have set a title for the tile.

In addition, you could try to remove power Bi TILE from your existing app. Then please save and publish the app that has deleted the control. Finally, please add the control again and save the app and publish it.

Sometimes you need to close the canvas app and reopen it.

Maybe this will solve your problem.

Best Regards,

@v-bofeng-msft  - i tried this and it does not resolve the issue.

We have the same issue within our tenant and a number of others also posting this on both the PowerApps and PowerBI forums.  How do we get this picked up as an issue??

Hello @v-bofeng-msft ,

Thank you for your response,

Yesterday only I tried the solution which you suggested now, I deleted reports and dashboards in the myworkspace of power bi web service and I republished it again from power bi desktop and I repined the report for a new dashboard then I added a new canvas app in power apps, after all this the issue remains same.

The dashboard is visible when I open it in the power bi web service, it is showing error in power bi tile in power apps.

The reports were working properly from 3 moths to till day before yesterday, but suddenly from yesterday it was started to showing error in power apps.

Great to hear.  I'm having this same issue as well in version 3.20124.20 with a Report that is pinned as a Tile in PowerApp

Hello,

I am facing the same issue. The App was working fine until a day ago. Since yesterday the Power Bi tile is displaying the error message "The report shown in this tile doesn't exist or you don't have permission to view it".

The dash board in Power Bi has no issues refreshing or loading data.

Followed a couple of suggestions online, one of them is to delete the Power Bi tile from Power Apps, saved and published it. Re-opened the app, added in a new tile, connected the data source and yet seeing the same error message.

Best regards,

Ven

Hi Chass,

Is this still on track to be deployed this week?  Just want to communicate an update to my end users of my app. Thanks!

@chass Any updates here or revised timeline? Critical functionality has been down for my team and clients for 1 week now.
