Power BI integrated Power App with Multi Screen Form

Hi Everyone! I am creating a power app that is integrated into my power BI. My form stretches across 3 screens, but I am getting an error when I try to use the "Defaults" function.

My code is: Defaults(LookUp('Financial DHB', ID = Value(Gallery1.Selected.Id)))

Everything works until I try to plug in the Defaults. Any solutions?

I'm not 100% familiar with power BI yet, but i'm working on it. I've also never used Defaults in this way. However one tidbit I might be able to help you with that makes your life easier, is in your Gallery1>OnSelect, set a variable like this:

Set(varFinancial, Gallery1.Selected).

Then you can use this variable around your app in a much cleaner way.

Typically when I use defaults i'm creating a new record, could you tell me a little more about what you're doing?

The issue that I am running into is when using Power BI integrated Power App, I cant use Gallery1.Selected. I have to use that lookup formula with a unique identifier like "ID". I have tried using variables, but it doesnt seem to like it.

Here is my app when there are no errors, but it is not patching together the three forms when submitting. I do not know how to patch the 3 forms using this vlookup. I know usually I would use defaults and a variable, but I am not sure if I can use that when connecting to Power BI

1. Where are Form2 and Form3 Located? I don't see them in your tree on the left side.

A few suggestions to start off:

1. NextArrow1>OnSelect should be: Select(Parent)

2. Select the whole record box of Gallery1... OnSelect should be:

Set(varFinancial, LookUp('Financial DHB', ID = Value(Gallery1.Selected.Id));

Navigate(DetailScreen1);

3. EditForm1>Item should be: varFinancial

I don't understand quite yet where EditForm2 and EditForm3 are used, so please go into detail there and I'll try to finish this up! What I've outlined above will get you started though.

Thank you for all your help!! My second and third forms are located on Detail Screen 2 & Detail Screen3, where I then want to submit all 3 of the screens data to complete the checklist.

OK great thanks for this extra detail!

So you can only edit forms that are on the current visible page, so when you tell your app to EditForm2 and EditForm3, but only navigate to the first page, then you are only in EditForm1... until you navigate to the next pages. And when you 'submit' EditForm1, you are only submitting that form.

If you want to update all three at the same time, then you probably need to do a "Patch()" function on the "OnSuccess" field of EditForm1.

Also, I made the changes that you recommended. However, when I click on the item in my gallery, the form shows up empty. Any ideas?
