PowerApp DocumentDB

Hi,

I've completely run out of ideas, i need help!!

I've connected to my docDb I can :-

  • see how many databases there are, and get their names
  • see how many collections there are and get their names
  • see how many docs are in each collection.

BUT I cant read the data .

Please post a example or somthing.

Re: PowerApp DocumentDB

Unfortunately today it is not possible to access the properties of the document since PowerApps requires to understand the schema and currently we don't get the schema. We'll be looking on ways to support addin this new capability.

Re: PowerApp DocumentDB

Hi @Anonymous,

the AzureDocumentDB.GetDocuments() function should be able to get the documents in record type, if you would like it to display in Gallery, use the following formula with the items property of gallery:

Items = Table(AzureDocumentDB.GetDocuments("DatabaseId","CollectionId"))

I am trying to setup the testing environments, so currently it is not available for me to share any example here.

The AzureDocumentDB.GetDocument() is also in record type, which you could reference its property through

AzureDocumentDB.GetDocuments().

Hope the information above is helpful.

Regards

Michael

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I did what you said, but still can't see how to show an document element as part of the gallery.

Re: PowerApp DocumentDB

just to let you know what I was doing.

I have a cople of listboxes which displays the databases and collections within the docdb
When you select a collection, in the onselect i do this ClearCollect(Documents, AzureDocumentDB.GetDocuments(ListBox2.Selected.id, ListBox1.Selected.id));

and then within the Gallary I try to acces the Documents table.

If I go to the content tab --> Collections i can see my collection.
when I access the Documents table, although I see a list with a scroll bar, there is no data.

Your Thoughts.

Re: PowerApp DocumentDB

Ok, but what is the purpose of the Azure DocumentDb(beta) connector for powerapps? In what situation can it be used?

Re: PowerApp DocumentDB

This connector seems kinda useless when we cannot attach our collection to list in application. Do you have any plans to release such improvement?
