Hi Team,

I have a Power-App that has only one button element and nothing else. The Power-App is embedded on SharePoint page for user to click on button for them to join a meeting. 

I want to understand will there be performance issue if that button is clicked by 8K+ user within 5 minute range. I have come across following Power-App limitation but not sure whether it is applicable in this case because I am not using any connector.  It just has one button.

When deploying your app to a large number of user, one has to keep in mind the connectors are throttled. PowerApps currently support 600 requests per minute per user and up to 30 concurrent calls per user.

Please guide me.

Yes Throttling can be an issue, but the main issue (user level) would not apply in your case as all the users are different.

Thanks for quick response. 

So will it work or power-app will crash? I want to make sure that power-app can handle 8k+ concurrent user load within 5 minute duration.

Hi @Anonymous ,

The throttling is on SharePoint side and can be from any interface including SharePoint itself and it based on the number of requests from a user in a given period.

The consequence is disconnection of that user from the data source for a period of time ranging from under a minute to 30 minutes or more depending on how far the "limit" is exceeded. 

I have not seen your scenario before, but from what I understand, multiple users should not cause throttling. As to any other issues with the API with this volume, I suspect that would be system cached somewhere, but this is only a guess.

Thank you @WarrenBelz for checking.

Today, we used the powerapp with just button element for more than 8k+ users and it went pretty well without any crash or throttling issue. 

So my conclusion is if you don't use any connector or data-source than those mentioned limits would not affect you.

Posting it here so if someone has similar scenario it can be useful.
