PowerApps + Flow + SharepointOnline

@audrieg I would be most grateful, if you could get back to me so that we can continue the conversation from the PowerApps AMA regarding the use of Flow to change values in a Sharepoint list subject to an approval workflow.

That's a done deal! Smiley Very Happy

I'm putting together a sample for you right now. Just give me a few minutes to run through the scenario in my test environment.

Ok it worked fine! I turned on version history so you could see the change that was made to three fields as a result of the workflow:

Here is the Flow which I initiated from the SharePoint Online List view using this template:

Thank you again for joining the AMA!

Thanks @audrieg . I tried your solution, it works for new items, but I also needed to make updates in a "related" list if the item was changed.

Using your answer as inspiration. I ended up triggering the flow from a PowerApps button, in that manner I was able to do the calculations and changes in PowerApps. I then passed on these values to the Flow, which only took effect if the Flow was approved. I find this method betteras you have more control over what values are passed and where.

Wow - great idea! You took a very creative and smart approach. I also find that when using PowerApps with sister products like Flow and Power BI, that we can end up with very sophisticated solutions. Your end result sounds like it works wonderfully!

I hope you will be inspired to do more of that, and that you will share with us your designs.

Thank you for updating the forum,
