Re: PowerApps SQL LookUps and Relationships

Hi @Anonymous ,

Could you please share a screenshot about the issue within your app?

Do you mean that the Dropdown box in your Edit form to display number value rather than Text value (name)?

I have made a test on my side, and don't have the issue that you mentioned. On your side, you should set the Items property of the Dropdown box to following:

ShowColumns('[dbo].[Customers]', "CustomerNameColumn", "IDColumn")

then within right Properties panel, set the Value property of Dropdown control to CustomerNameColumn as below:11.JPG

Set the Update property of the Customer ID data card in your Edit form to following:

Dropdown1.Selected.IDColumn

Please take a try with above solution, check if the issue is solved.

I have attached my screenshot of Detailed screen and Edit screen.
It doesn't show anything on detailed screen ( Like the selected thing from the edit form screen)

Re: PowerApps SQL LookUps and Relationships

Hi @Anonymous ,

Please consider make sure the the Update property of the LocationId data card in your Edit form to following:

LocationIDDropdownBox.Selected.Value

Also please make sure the Item property of the Display form set to following formula:

BrowseGallery1.Selected

In addition, please also consider set the Text property of the Label within the LocationId data card in your Display form (Detail form) to following:

ThisItem.LocationId

Note: I assume that the locationId column is a Text type column in your data source.

If the issue still exists, please consider re-create a new app based on your data source, then try above solution, check if the issue is solved.

Best regards,
