PowerApps button to fetch data from an external source

Hey guys! I need to know if this is possible and if yes, how, with PowerApps. Basically what I need is a search text input with a button that fetches the data from a data source via API call, gets the data based on the unique number entered in the search text input, and pre-fills the PowerApps form fields with the fetched data. The form fields will then be submitted and saved into a SharePoint list. Here's the link of the sample UI (also attached is the powerappsbuttonapi.png) Hope anyone can help me out here, and point me in the right direction. Thanks

Re: PowerApps button to fetch data from an external source

Hi @david_castillo,

What is your external source? Learn how to create custom connectors for canvas apps here:

If you could create the custom connector, then this could be achieved by using Patch function to update records to SharePoint list connection.

The formula to update records to SharePoint list should be something like below:

Patch(ListName,Defaults(ListName),{Title:Label1.Text, Choice: Dropdown1.Selected,...})
