PowerApps capturing date in SharePoint as yyyy-MM-ddThh:mm:ss format instead of yyyy-MM-dd

Hi,

I have a sharepoint list which stores End Date as yyyy-MM-dd. However, it is captured in yyyy-MM-ddThh:mm:ss. How would I change this? Should this be altered in the Sharepoint list itslef? 

I realise that Sharepoint saves the end date in yyyy-MM-ddThh:mm:ss format first before converting it to yyyy-MM-dd format. Shown in the image below:

In PowerApps use DateValue() to select the SharePoint List date column.
