PowerApps display data info from a different Source

Hi folks!

I am building an app to collect results after inspection and store on a SPL call "Results".

Sparately, I have create additional SPL (call "Characteristic") data source which includes a list of instructions and specifications.

In my app what I am trying to do is to insert in each question a Label to display the correspondent instruction from my SPL "Characteristic".

My SPL "Characteristic" has 2 columns: ID and Instruction (type: Single line of Text). Each line contains one specific instruction.

So, my question is what should I use as formula to display in my Label box the data info from column "Instruction" for the itemID 2 of my SPL "Characteristic"?

Thansk a lot! hope it make sense! 🙂

Create a Data Source for the Characteristic list and then use the following code in the Text of the label.

Lookup(Charateristic, ID = 2).Instruction

Hi @Corleone ,

Regarding the needs that you mentioned, I agree with @Pstork1 's thought almost.  I think the LookUp function could achieve your needs easily. Please consider try the following formula:

LookUp(Characteristic, ID = 2).Instruction

or

LookUp(Characteristic, ID = 2, Instruction)

In addition, if you want to display each Instruction info in your Characteristic List, I think you could consider add a Gallery control in your canvas app, and then connect it to your Characteristic List. Then you could display each Instruction info from your Characteristic List in the Gallery.
