PowerApps form for SharePoint list accepting and converting invalid dates

I have a Date only field on a SharePoint list. I use the date picker control in PowerApps. I noticed that when the user doesn't use the picker feature and just types a date, there's no validation to make sure this date is real.

When I type in 2/30/2019, the date submits. The DataCardValue.SelectedDate value is actually 3/2/2019 which is also how it's recorded in SP. I guess is correct but I only want users to be able to type real dates so that there's no mismatch between entry and recorded value

Is there any function to catch this invalid date on the PowerApps side?

Re: PowerApps form for SharePoint list accepting and converting invalid dates

Hi @cooper33 ,

Do you want to check if the typed date value (not picked Date value) is valid within the DatePicker control?

Currently, within PowerApps, there is no function supported to check if a Date value is valid. If you would like this feature to be added in PowerApps, please submit an idea to PowerApps Ideas Forum:
