Hi guys,
I need to import data from a spreadsheet that has formulas, but I'm not getting it because I think PowerApps does not accept spreadsheet data calculated by formulas.
Would there be some way in which I enter data into the application, insert it into a specific worksheet cell to do the calculations, and then take this calculated data in the worksheet to show in the application?
Step by step:
1 - Enter data in App (textinput)
2 - Insert this data into a spreadsheet to do the calculation.
3 - Return the data calculated by the worksheet.
4 - Show in application.
Regards,
Antônio Henrique

Hi @Anonymous ,
Do you want to connect to a Excel table which contains a Calculated field from your app?
Yeah, you are right. Currently, within PowerApps, there is no way to connect to a Excel table which contains Calculation formula from an app.
Actually, it is not necessary to do the Calculation within your Excel table, instead, you could do the Calculation operation within PowerApps, then write the calculated result back to your Excel table.
Note: Currently, within PowerApps, we could only connect to Excel table data source which does not contain Calculation from an app.
On your side, you should remove the Calculated field from your Excel table, instead, add a normal type field (called "CalculatedResult") within it.
Then generate an app based on your Excel table data source, within the Edit form of the Edit screen (of the Generated app), do some Calculation operation for the "CalculatedResult" field. After that, you could click "Submit" button to write the calculated result back to your Excel table.

Best regards,
The data you import from Excel into PowerApps needs to be formatted as a table. From the testing I've done you can't include any calculated columns in the Excel Table you import or PowerApps won't be able to access the data source correctly. You need to import the Excel table as all data and then do the calculations inside PowerApps.
