PowerApps - how to create HTML file to launch in new window/tab for Printing

Hi,

We have a Flow that generates the below HTML table in an email and sends it to the users:

what we really want is to be able to create an HTML file and launch it on demand in our PowerApp perhaps in a new window?

The idea is the user can print it directly from the browser rather than us having to rely on emails being read.

So how could I do that - I know I could use a new form with an HTML Test input, but would prefer the cleaner option of launching an HTML file in a new tab for printing...

thanks

Philip

Re: PowerApps - how to create HTML file to launch in new window/tab for Printing

We needed the HTML file to be available for the users to open from the PowerApp

so we:

  • used OneDrive for Business to create the HTML file  and convert it to PDF
  • Copied that file to the Shared Document Library
  • Stored the link to file for each record

Re: PowerApps - how to create HTML file to launch in new window/tab for Printing

I had the same issue.  What I ended up doing is:

  • Use Flow to create the HTML file in SharePoint
  • Went to SharePoint and copied the link to the HTML file I created
  • Used that link in a Launch function within Powerapps
    • Need to add a slight delay for the time for the HTML file to be created...just 1-2 seconds

With that, I could make one button to create the file and open it in a new browser window.
