Powerapps Microsoft Store App Editor is incredibly slow to respond to keyboard and mouse input

I am struggling with the Microsoft store PowerApps app.

There is a very significant delay when I preform any action in the editor, for example I must wait several seconds between a mouse click, and the control I clicked on being highlighted. This constant delayed response makes editing PowerApps applications very hard, and cumbersome.

I am using PowerApps version 2.0.770

I am running windows 10 64bit

I have a core i5 3360m CPU

I have 16GB of ram

I have tried deleting the PowerApps application and reinstalling it, but that made no difference.

I am using at most about 30% of my memory and 40% of my CPU while editing PowerApps applications.

Any assistance on this matter would be appreciated.

Hi @T_R_O_Nauthoring apps using the web Studio is highly recommended for performance. The web Studio provides the same functionalites and better performance.  We understand your frustration and the production team is putting effort as much as we can to improve the performance and reliability mostly on the web. In my experience performance problems are more usually linked to the app itself rather than the editor.

Is it slow even with a blank app before adding data sources?

For performance, see the following:

Have you tried using a web version of PowerApps (create.powerapps.com)?
