Hi,
I am look to connect to premium data source and have assigned a powerapps per app plan to my end user.
However, I get the message ”the app uses features that comes a Power Apps premium plan. Start a trail to use these features.”
I have tried researching this and it says a powerapps per app plan should be sufficient but it needs to be a standalone licence.
Does anyone know how to set this up?

You can't assign a per app plan to a user. You assign the plan to an environment. When the app is shared with a user they will get a per app license out of the environment pool if they don't have an adequate (per user) license. Does the end user get the message or do you? You also need a license to create an app that uses a premium license. Since the per app license isn't assigned until an app is shared the app maker will normally need either a per user license or a trial to create the app and then share it. Once shared other users will get per app licenses out of the pool of licenses for that environment. Here's the official documentation on how to setup per app licenses.
