Re: Print Facility or Export to PDF the Powersapps form anywhere on the Local desktop

Hi @cyberco01 ,

Could you please share a bit more about your scenario?

Do you want to export a PowerApps form data into a PDF file?

If you want to export a PowerApps form data into a PDF file, I afraid that there is no direct way to achieve your needs in PowerApps currently.

As an alternative solution, you could consider concatenate field values from your PowerApps form into a HTML context value. And then, pass the concatenated HTML text to a flow (Microsoft Flow), within the flow, create a PDF file based on the passed HTML text.

Please check and see if the following blog or video would help in your scenario:

Please consider take a try with above solutions, then check if the issue is solved.

Re: Print Facility or Export to PDF the Powersapps form anywhere on the Local desktop

Hi @cyberco01

Currently direct export to PDF is not supported in PowerApps. It can be achieved by triggering a flow to create a file on the Document Library and returning the url  as response, which can later be used to open the file and download it.

Please refer to one of my blogs to get more information about the above mentioned procedure.

Hope this Helps!

Re: Print Facility or Export to PDF the Powersapps form anywhere on the Local desktop

Hi @cyberco01

Did you get a chance to go over the solution that I have provided?

Note: Currently powerapps does not support priniting/ creating pdf files directly. You will have to pass the data via a flow to create a pdf and then send it back to powerapps to save it (the flow runs in the background on the press of a button from the canvas app)

Hope this Helps!

Re: Print Facility or Export to PDF the Powersapps form anywhere on the Local desktop

Hi @cyberco01 ,

Do you want to save your PDF file into the 'Downloads' folder on your Desktop?

Currently, within PoweerApps, there is no direct way to export a form data into a PDF file. As an alternative solution, you could consider achieve your needs along with Microsoft Flow and PowerApps.

Please take a try with above solution (blogs/video) I provided, then check if it could help in your scenario.

If you want to save your PDF file into the 'Downloads' folder on your Desktop rather than in OneDrive folder, I think the File System connector could achieve your needs.

Within the flow, you could consider create a connection to your local folder (e.g. 'Downloads', Folder path is C:\Users\YourUserName\Downloads) through the File System connector within your flow. Then add a "Create file" action of File System connector within your flow to create PDF file into the 'Downloads' folder on your Desktop.

More details about File System connector, please check the following article:

File System connector

More details about creating a connection to File System connector within Microsoft Flow, please check the following article:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/logic-apps/logic-apps-using-file-connector

Note: If you want to create a connection to File System connector, you need to install a On-premise data gateway on your PC.

Re: Print Facility or Export to PDF the Powersapps form anywhere on the Local desktop

@yashag2255 ,

I looked in to the solution - it is for the sharepoint list to PDF right. I need for a form i.e. one list item form in Powerapps.

Re: Print Facility or Export to PDF the Powersapps form anywhere on the Local desktop

Hi @cyberco01 ,

Yes. You could consider add a "Create file" action of your OneDrive connector within your flow to create a file within your OneDrive folder instead of the "Create file" action of SharePoint connector.

Please take a try with above solution, check if the issue is solved.
