Problem with updating a list with calculations from two different lists in MS flow Parent and Child List

Hello Guys,

Please i have an issue here 

looking at this expression below, while in a flow this is used to subtract "1" from a field in the parent list and the output is used to update another field.

sub(item()?['Annual_x0020_Leave_x0020_Allocat'],1)

i am trying to subtract a value added from "when an Item was created"  from the ['Annual_x0020_Leave_x0020_Allocat'] and update a field in the "get items" i.e the parent list. i keep getting an error.

Please help!!!
