Published App Not Working "This App Stopped Working. Try Refreshing Your Browser"

Hi,

I have made my first app, when I preview it from the edit screen it all works fine.  When I publish it I get the error "This App Stopped Working.  Try Refreshing Your Browser".

There's no real information as to what went wrong.  My app connects to an excel sheet that is stored in One Drive.

Can anyone point me in some direction as to where I can find out what's wrong?

Thanks...

John

Hi @BigJohn,

Thanks for posting.

Is this error message happened when trying to publish, or when opening this App in Running mode after publish?

Besides, there should be More details for you to check the detailed error message at the Pop-out Window. If convenient, please share it here.

Things you may give it a try:

1. Open your browser in InPrivate Browsing,

2. Clear your Browser cache,

Michael

Hi @v-micsh-msft

Thanks for your response.  It's happening after I publish the app and try to run it.  The only message I get is as above and the only other information I get is a session ID.

I've tried running the app on other machines, different browsers and on a tablet all with the same error.

Any other suggestions as to what I can try?

Thanks...

John

Hi @BigJohn,

Thanks for the update.

Do you have PowerApps studio from Windows Store?

If yes, then please check to see if you could open the App in PowerApps Studio Store App.

If the App stll can't open, please share the corresponding Session ID here, I will then forward it from my side.

Regards,

Michael

Hi @v-micsh-msft

When I try from the power apps store I get the message.

"This app isn't opening correctly.  If the problem continues, the owner might need to republish the app"

Thanks for all your help.  Much appreciated.

Hi @v-micsh-msft

Sorry to be a pest, but I'm at a loss as to where to go next with this.  Even if I was to start again and it all works, I'd still like to know why this happened in the first place.

Any assistance you can give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks...

John

I am getting the same error on an App that I published today (This app stopped working. Try refreshing your browser). It was working fine earlier today, I made a few minor changes then tried to Publish again. I have tried going back to an older version before I made the recent changes, tried clearing Cache, tried another PC, different browsers etc. Not having any luck....

Hi,

I couldn't clearly see what the issue was either. However, we were seeing issues with authentication that could be affecting you all too.

We are working on a fix, but meanwhile can you try this workaround?

1 - Go to web.powerapps.com;

2 - Sign in there (if you're signed in, please sign out and sign in again);

3 - Try re-opening the app.

And let me know if that helps. If you keep seeing the issue, please send the session id.

Hi @claudiosvcc,

I tried what you suggested.  Still no joy.

Thanks...

Sorry to hear that.

We're still trying to identify this particular issue.

Have a question: do any of you that are seeing this issue has the experimental feature "delay loading" enabled? If so, enabling/disabling the feature makes any difference?

thanks
