Help! Our App is scheduled to go live in 10 days, and all of a sudden the published version of my App does not populate forms properly. The problem is mainly with forms. There is one screen that has three forms - one display and two edit forms. The forms are populated using the Selected row of a gallery or data table. When the screen opens, the forms appear to populate then go blank, one or two times, then on some instances the 3 forms populate and on others the 3 forms end up displaying "no data" (when there should definitely be data). This works fine when editing the app, just not when it is published. The problem just started this week.
By "Published App", did you mean that the app that you shared with your entire org? Did you mean that the issue is happening when the shared users use it? Will it work from your side?
In addition, please provide the session ID.
By "Published App" I am referring to the app version that runs from Dynamics 365. I had published the app and shared with only one other user. Both of us experienced the same issues. When I was running the App in design mode, everything worked perfectly on Monday. I published it at the end of the day and did not test the "runtime" version until yesterday morning and everything seemed messed up. Working with it in design mode yesterday I determined that it appeared to be one or two issues - the "EditForm" function was causing the form to visibly display then lose then display data, and at some points the app seems to lose the ".Selected" value of a gallery (although that value had been used before with no changes made to the gallery). I'm not sure where to get the session ID on the published version. Are you talking about the App ID?
I also forgot to mention that in some cases when the Editforms do not populate, I can hit the 'Back' button, select the person again, and I get the right data. It is very inconsistent. Oh, and in most cases I'm needing to on the action object (arrow or button) twice for the app to respond.
Sorry but I only know how to share an app in PowerApps web page. I cannot find anywhere to publish an app in Dynamic 365. As you could see after I clicked on the "...", it only have an option to PIN.
Would you pls try with a Windows studio to see if the issue reproduced? Also, the sesson ID could be found under Account:
I wasn't publishing the App from Dynamics, just referring to playing it from there to distinguish from playing it interchangeably while in design mode. As for the session, that has changed many times and the problem still occurs. I figured out the issue anyway. It was related to recent PowerApps updates including Form modes and Display mode plus the timing of actions when a screen opens. Thanks anyway.
