Régional options causes problem (. and ,)

Hello,

I come back for an other issue, It's a regional one which is a bit annoying.

When you update a number in a sharepoint list field, the pad number appears, logically. But my Sharepoint list doesn't allow the decimal separator if you don't use the good one. So on my phone pad if i write 93.5 it won't be update as well but as 935, since on Sharepoint it should be written as 93,5

There I tried to substitute "." by "," with the substitue formula but that doesn't allow people to write with the num pad, i have to turn my field on text mode to write with the good separator.

So my question is, why Sharepoint doesn't interprete the decimal separator as a decimal separator, no matter if it's a "," or a "." ?

Thanks

Hi @AlexisHA ,

Based on the issue that you mentioned, I think this issue is related to the Region setting within your SP Site.

Actually, the decimal separator displayed within a SP List is based on the Region setting within the SP Site. Some regions world use a . (dot or period) as the decimal separator while others use a , (comma).

Please make sure the Region setting within your Phone Pad is the same as that in your SP Site. On your side, you should go to your SP Site Setting, then change the Region (Locale) value to same region value as that in your Phone Pad as below:1.JPG

e.g. If the Region value in your Phone Pad is in United States, you should change the Locale proeprty above to Uniyed States.

Hi again,

Ok i've found better than the first issue, it was not between SP and PowerApps, but between Teams and SP. We use Teams to see PowerApps application. But you can't change Regional settings in Teams, so i'm in French everywhere (regional settings SP and pad), i use substitute to get a number format but teams always skip the comma, or the dot. so in place of 40.5 or 40,5, i get 405 and the twice get the same result.

On a pad it works, so it meens it doesn't come from Powerapps...

Any idea?
