Radio button Yes/No not showing ErrorMessage when field required

Hello all,

I've made an application Form with a fields that requires field requirement. Now I have different type of DataCards with their components "ErrorMessage, StarVisible, DataValueCard and DataKeyCard" that do work just as asked, but the radio button does not work.

All the fields that are filled in are being sent to my SharePoint list. When I set the Required Field option in advanced to any of the Datacards to True it most of the time works but the Radio Control Buttons do not work when set to True

I tried also to do:

If(IsBlank(DataCardValue5.Selected.Value); NoChange;

Then I tried to make a variable of the Radiobutton by:

;; set(RadioButton;DataCardValue5.Selected.Value)

for

If(IsBlank(RadioButton.Selected.Value)

but no luck

Anyone else care to help on this one?

Re: Radio button Yes/No not showing ErrorMessage when field required

Hi @Fouad ,

Could you please share a screenshot about your app's configuration?

Do you custom a Data card within your Edit form, and add Radio button within it? Or unlock one of the original Data cards, and remove the original control within the Data card, instead, add a Radion control? Or change the control type the Data card to "Edit options" as below?1.JPG

Based on the issue that you mentioned, I suppose that you change the Control Type of one the Data cards to "Edit options", is it true?

If you change the Control Type of one the Data cards to "Edit options", and set the Required property of the Data card to true, I have made a test, the issue is confirmed on my side.

As an alternative solution, you could consider unlock the data card, and remove the Original Radio button from there, instead, add a custom Radion control (Radio1) within it:2.JPG

3.JPG

Set the Items property of the Radio button to following:

["Yes", "No"]

Set the Update property of the Data card which contains the custom Radio button to following formula:

If(Radio1.Selected.Value="Yes", true, Radio1.Selected.Value="No", false)

Set the Required property of the Data card to true.

Note: The Checked column is a Yes/No type column in my SP list data source.

Re: Radio button Yes/No not showing ErrorMessage when field required

Thanks!

If(Radio1.Selected.Value="Yes", true, Radio1.Selected.Value="No", false)

This worked for me.
