Referencing the SharePoint field with its ID

Hi All,

so i wanted to know if there is a way to reference the SharePoint field ID when your creating formula based on that field.

for example.

Field display name is "Stage 1 Approve"  but its ID is "Stage1Approve", i wanted to be able to reference  the ID when creating formula not its display name since that might change at a later date.

Thank you in advance, enjoy your day.

In your image the Field Name is the Internal Name.  The Column name is the Display name.  You should be able to use CurrentStatus, (note no single quotes since there is no space in the name.).  I just did a test and that is the way it works for me.

Note that I am using the Internal name (FieldName) not the Display Name.

For SharePoint what you should be seeing when selecting fields is the Internal Column name, not the display name.  The internal name never changes.  To check what the actual internal name is go to the column settings and look at the fieldname referenced in the URL.  For example I have a gallery that uses "ApprovalStatus" as the field name.  That is the internal column name.  The Display name is "Approval Status".

what i wanted to know is if its possible to reference the Field Name  "CurrentStatus".

i wanna be able to reference the Field Name so my below formula would look more like GalleryIncident.Selected.'CurrentStatus'.Value
