Refresh with Filter

Hi,

I'm trying to refresh a SQL Server View using a filter:

Refresh(Filter('[dbo].[vw_NewProducts]',Prod_ID = 19));

The error I'm getting is: "Only managed connections can be refreshed".

This View gather a lot of data from the many tables. Is there a way to refresh only a part of it?

Thanks a lot!

May be due to filtering a view with refresh instead of a Table.
You could also consider clearcollect On visible of the screen to handle the filter.

Re: Refresh with Filter

Remove the first refresh.
Filter('[dbo].[vw_NewProducts]',Prod_ID = 19);
Refresh('[dbo].[vw_NewProducts]')

Re: Refresh with Filter

if only refresh, use
Refresh('[dbo].[vw_NewProducts]')

Re: Refresh with Filter

@eka24, it takes 25 seconds to refresh the whole view. That's why I'm trying to filter only a part of it.

Thanks!

Re: Refresh with Filter

The simple Refresh is working but it's taking too long.
I don't want to use it like this. I was thinking of a Refresh with Filter, but is it possible?
I might need a managed connection for this, as the error says, but how can a managed connection be defined?
Thanks!
