Remove Specific item from Gallery based on text

I have an app that when it opens determines the users job title and determines if they have Auto Approval or they need Manager Approval for submitting a form.

In one of the Galleries I have an item that i want to hide if the user needs manager approval. Im not sure if I need to do this on the start of the application and Remove it from the collection or when the gallary is visable.

This is essentially what i am trying to do

IF(ManagerApproval.Text <> "Auto Approval On", Remove(MyCollection.Primaryid: 9))

Re: Remove Specific item from Gallery based on text

Hi @cma2438 ,

The best way to hide the items in the Gallery is to filter the Gallery Items.
In the Items property of Gallery, you should have something like

Items = Filter(MyDataList, Approval="Needed")

In this, MyDataList is the data source of the Gallery, Approval="Needed" is the filter criteria that shows only the items whose Approval is "Needed".

Your situation would be something like
Filter(MyCollection,ManagerApproval = "Auto Approval Off"), assuming MyCollection is the name of Collection, ManagerApproval is the filtering field
