Reporting in PowerApps

I am attempting to build a report that summarizes my data at a glance in PowerApps. I have run across Microsoft documentation that references a Report Wizard in PowerApps (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/user/create-report-with-wizard). I was hoping this might simplify my life but I cannot figure out why I wouldn't be able to see this feature. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I do not have access to PowerBI as I think this could be another solution.

Just to be sure, are you using model-driven or canvas Power Apps?

I assume I am using Canvas as many of the templates are Canvas (I had zero idea what I was doing when I started this project). I am not sure how to tell 100% for sure though.

The link you shared is for model-driven apps. Can you take a screenshot of your app (not necessarily of your data or screens but just the designer)?

Here is a screen cap of one of my screens in my app in PowerApps edit mode.

Ok great. So this is a canvas app. The link you had originally shared was talking about the reporting wizard for model-driven apps. There are certain charts that you can create within your canvas app. Here is a link: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/use-line-pie-bar-chart

Also, what is your data source? Is it CDS? If so, you could create a simple model-driven app with reports to get what you want.

Let me know if this helps.

Hi @KimberlyM ,

Do you want to insert a chart control into your app to display your data at a glance?

Based on the link that you mentioned, it is related to Model-Driven app rather than canvas app. But according to the screenshot that you mentiond, I think you are designing a canvas app.

Currently, we could not apply the Model-Driven app fucntionality into a canvas app.

Acutally, if you want to display your data using Chart control within your canvas app, I think the Chart controls supported within PowerApps canvas app could achieve your needs.

On your side, you could consider add a Chart control (Column chart, Line Chart, Pie Chart) into your app from "Insert"-> "Charts" menu:

More details about the Chart controls in PowerApps, please check the following article:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/controls/control-column-line-chart

More details about using Chart control in PowerApps, please refer to the following video resource:

Hi, I'm experiencing the same challenge.  I want to generate a Word or PDF formatted report that replicates the information on a screen or set of screens, including attachments.  The simple charts are nice, but don't answer the mail.  Do I need to code my reports or is there some kind of out of the box tool in Power Apps that makes this easy?
