Required fields updated in Power Apps, not updating SharePoint List

I have an app that allows me to enter data into fields and write those values to a SharePoint List. It was working fine, but I accidentally deleted 2 required fields in my SharePoint List. I added them back and refreshed my data connector and things seem to be working again, except that the data in those 2 fields is not being written back to my SharePoint List.

Again, these 2 fields are required and I am not getting an error that there is data missing when I submit my form in my app, but there is nothing being written to these 2 required fields.

Hi @Greg27 ,

Have you tried re-creating the Data Cards for these two items in your Form ?

@WarrenBelz Hi Warren! Yes, I deleted the Data Cards, saved my app, closed the app, then opened the app and added the 2 fields back into the form

@Greg27

And they are still not saving ? As you can understand, this does not make a lot of sense - I am not sure what to offer further.

@Greg27

I may be stretching here but when you change the schema in SharePoint, you also need to refresh the browser after you save the changes in SharePoint before bringing the list in to PowerApps.

@WarrenBelz I opened a ticket with Microsoft and will update this question with an answer if they can figure it out. I thought it might be a stretch for someone to figure it out without access to the List and App as this really makes no sense.

@Drrickryp I have been working on this over the course of a few days, so I have closed my browser a few times and then removed and readded the fields to my app. Not sure if there is another way to do it, but I am open to anything at this point.

@WarrenBelz @Drrickryp I ended up bringing Microsoft support into this issue and they were stumped. They looked at it, created a new form, etc and still the value in the fields would not show up. We ended up changing the data type in my SharePoint List and changing them back and all of a sudden the data, even from my previous records in my list, showed up. So weird, but looks like a SharePoint issue.

I'm really serious. It was odd seeing about 5 or 6 records in my SharePoint List with the 2 fields blank and then all of them, in an instant, be populated. I wish I would have recorded it. I think I spent around 3 hours with Microsoft support and they were stumped as we tried to fix the problem with no solution. It wasn't until I changed the field type from one type to another and actually back, when all of the fields had values. So, it looks like my SharePoint List actually did have the values stored in them, they just didn't show a value. I really think there has to be a bug in SharePoint. If I were you I probably still wouldn't believe it, but it really did happen. Microsoft could confirm that they couldn't figure it out. It wasn't until after the 2nd call with them where we spent 2 hours that I decided to try changing the field values. I was planning on deleting the List and recreating it as I thought that was the only option left as we had built a brand new app, connected it to the List and it still wouldn't populate the 2 fields. It was then that I realized it had to be a problem with the SharePoint List.
